Even though we’re back in our snowy Minnesota home, we haven’t forgotten the warmth of our visit to Hacienda Camino al Mar! From the moment we rang the bell and Luis answered and we came around the corner to be greeted by Denise and Angela, we felt like we had come home. We didn’t expect the staff to even be there on Sunday, their usual day off, much less to have them in the kitchen preparing dinner for us. Throughout our visit, their hospitality to all members of our extended family was wonderful. They made everyone feel at home and tried to anticipate our every need. And they succeeded! Our two-year-old grandson told his parents on the plane, “I miss Denise and Angela.” He spoke for all of us.
The meals throughout our stay were fantastic! The staff went to a lot of effort to meet all our needs; we had two-year-olds, vegetarians and allergies to seafood, and they supplied alternatives that kept everyone happy and raving about the food. And Luis’ margaritas, sangria and mojitos are sorely missed by all the adults! Luis kept everything flowing, answered all our questions, made many great recommendations of things to do and see, and generally went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time.
You are so lucky to have Luis, Denise and Angela as your staff!!!!!
On our last night we celebrated two-year-old Ezra’s second birthday. Luis bought candy for the pinata and helped rig it up, and he knew exactly how to make it bounce around when the two little boys were trying to bat at it. But the highlight of the evening was the surprise you provided for us — the mariachi band! We all had such fun singing and dancing to their music and it brought our wonderful week to a memorable close.
We want to thank Boutique Villas and the staff so much for the best family vacation ever! Please pass our appreciation on to them. We will be back!!!!
