THE LOCATION:

Hacienda Alegre sits along the shore of Mexico’s largest bay, in the best surfing and best beach area of the bay. It is 32 kilometers north of Puerto Vallarta, 10 minutes drive from Punta Mita, which is home of arguably the best Four Seasons Resort in the world.

THE EXPERIENCE.

Hacienda Alegre is a unique creature in the Bay of Banderas. The main house stands on a 25-foot cliff overlooking the beach. You enjoy sweeping and uninterrupted views east to Puerto Vallarta, with Matisse-style mountains providing a backdrop right around the horse-shoe-shaped bay. And to the west, you look along the rugged coastline towards the Pacific Ocean. Surfing is daily delight. The sunsets are totally magic! During the winter and early spring seasons, the bay is visited by whales and dolphins, and other interesting sea characters. Every day, summer or winter, the theatre of lines of pelicans gliding along the tips of the ocean waves never cease to amaze one! Hacienda Alegre is the best location on the Bay to experience all these beautiful happenings of nature, and Hacienda Alegre is the only residential property in Banderas Bay offering an expansive ocean frontage, tennis court, family-size swimming pool, sauna, games room, exercise room, and a spacious garden of tropical surprises – all in one place! THE SITE:
Hacienda Alegre is in an exclusive estate, called Punta del Burro. It is 2 acres in size, with 60 meters of beach frontage and 8-bedroom capacity. You can have the whole property to yourself, renting for up to 12 people, 6 bedrooms, or each building is available separately, and the swimming pool, sauna, donkey rides, tennis court, table tennis openly available to all tenants on a “fist come- first serve” basis, as with the car-parking area and the steps to the beach.

MAIN HOUSE AND CACTUS CORNER UNIT:
The main house is on a cliff facing the ocean. The ground floor comprises a family kitchen, dining area, living room , TV room, two suites with their own patios, and a huge entertainment deck with barbecue and wet bar that overlooks the sea. A lower deck features the Cactus Corner Unit, a 2-bedroom apartment with kitchen and dining areas plus outside patios which lead to steps that guide you right down to the beach. There is an exercise/massage room on the opposite side of the building.

CASITA:
About 20 meters from the main house is a 2-bedrooms casita, complete with kitchen, dining and TV areas, Stereo and an outdoor patio with built-in barbecue.

POOL HOUSE:
The pool house has two levels – the ground floor is the games room, plus kitchenette, and the second level accommodates 2 bedrooms and decks with ocean and mountain views. Behind the pool is a sauna room.

The solar-heated, family size swimming pool, is completed with spacious sundecks, and adjacent to it is the tennis court.
The grounds of the total property are full of lush, tropical flora with almost every fruit and nut tree that can be found in Mexico! At the lower end of the property is a large organic vegetable and herb garden. And also a small area that we affectionately call "the farm". This small building and enclosure houses a couple of friendly donkeys (burros) who would be very happy if you took them for a ride!.

• Main house with two bedrooms, the master bedroom features one king size bed, the second bedroom has two single beds and one single sofa.
• The lower deck apartment has one bedroom with queen size bed + one single bed, the second bedroom has one king size bed.
• The Casita features two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the second with two single beds.
• The pool house also has two bedrooms, one with two single beds and the second bedroom has one double bed and one single bed.
• There is one baby crib and also two playpens available.
• Games, Stereo, Ping Pong table, and ½ bath in the games terrace.
• The staff consists of a Mexican housekeeping couple living on the property in a separate apartment, and will spoil you rotten!, There is a house supervisor who speaks English.
• Satellite TV (Sky) offer dozens of English-speaking channels
• Cell phone service available, buying a prepaid card.
• Internet connection available.
• Car parking area for 4 cars, rental cars are recommended for your stay.
