Parasailing is very popular in Vallarta and you can give it a try at just about every beach in the Bay area. The rides depart from the beach and lands on the beach, so it's actually quite safe. As you sit into the harness they attach you to the line. Suddenly the boat surges forward and picks up speed and you feel the line pulling out. Then in the blink of and eye you're pulled off the back of the boat and your journey to the outer limits begins. What a feeling as you slowly climb to the full length of the line. Below you the boat churns up the blue waters and the wind flows through your hair.

What a feeling, soft and quiet, with sweeping vistas of the contrasting Sierra Madre, the jungle, and the blue Pacific Ocean. I'm personally afraid of heights, but it was amazing how peaceful I felt...just as if I were slowly floating. I even spotted a giant sea turtle swimming from high above! All of a sudden the boat appears to be getting closer and closer as each second goes by, when like a feather falling onto the floor you land up right on the beach where your adventure began. It's that easy!

Anyone can do this, the young, the old, anyone. No experience required. Once you soar above the waters you will want to fly again and again. Each flight costs around $25 US.
